Q: What is an admin vs an agency user?
A: An admin is able to access the DeposiTR Admin Portal where transaction types can be set, service fee options can be altered and any QC users and agencies can be added/removed. Additionally, admins can control the agency profile, notifications and any user permissions. Agency users can access the Deposit Queue and Reconcile only.
Q: What is QC?
A: QC is short for Quality Control and is the process that deposits go through to ensure all information entered is correct, they are assigned an order number and they are deposited to the correct FBO account.
Q: When are the funds considered “deposited", fulfilling the requirement of the real estate contract?
A: Once the funds are approved by QC, they are considered deposited.
Q: How long can a deposit be on hold?
A: When placing a deposit on hold, there is no time limit for how long they can remain in that status.
Q: Are reminders sent for deposits submitted by consumers?
A: An email for a deposit is only sent on the initial submission by the consumer. No reminder emails will be sent after.
Q: What are the difference between receiving funds via Same Day ACH vs Wires?
A: Receiving funds via wires settles almost instantly but comes at a higher cost to consumers ($25). Same day ACH can take a couple hours to settle but is a lower cost to consumers ($15).
Q: Who do the deposit emails come from?
A: When going through the CloseSimple portal, any email that is sent to the customer comes from CloseSimple. Emails sent to the agencies come from DeposiTR. If the deposit is initiated through your agency website, then all emails come from DeposiTR.
Q: Is there a way to setup wires to trigger at a certain dollar amount for the EMD?
A: At this point in time, no. EMDs can either be delivered by ACH or Wires for all.
Q: Is a realtor name required when creating a deposit invite?
A: Yes, however as the field is free form, users can enter “N/A” or “None” in the case where a realtor is not associated to the consumer.
Q: Can the deposit amount be limited?
A: No the deposit amount cannot be limited by an agency. However, due to the ACH limit, a deposit cannot exceed $1,000,000.00.
Q: When will we be notified that a deposit has been submitted?
A: As soon as a consumer submits a deposit, a receipt will be sent to them as well as to any applicable agency users.
Q: Do trust accounts need to have the exact bank name?
A: No, the trust account bank names can be whatever works best for you as an agency.
Q: Can we automatically approve EMDs that are made through CloseSimple?
A: No, each deposit needs to be reviewed by an individual. This is to ensure you as an agency know what money is coming into your account and to protect against claw backs.
Q: Is there a time limit on how long an EMD can stay in the submitted status?
A: The deposit will display in the submitted queue for 14 days.
Q: Is there a way to see the agreements the user is sent from the agency’s perspective?
A: Not at this time though 4Tier can pull the agreements for an individual order upon request.
